Are you looking for that perfect piece of art to compliment your Stickley, Limbert or Roycroft mission style furniture? We offer an original, unique, hand crafted choice.
We start with a thin sheet of copper. Period Arts and Crafts designs are hand tooled into the copper sheet. Paint is then laid within the tooled lines. The remaining copper surface is oxidized and then lacquered. The finished art is mounted on a colored board with a colored paper border around the copper, matted and framed in a quartered oak mission style framing. We take great pride in the fact that our art is true to the Arts and Crafts ideal being totally handcrafted by the hand of the artist.
We use Dard Hunter frames. Dard is an accomplished craftsman in the traditional arts & crafts style.. His finish is a four step process, the final step being a hand rubbed wax finish like the finish used by Stickley on his furniture. He uses traditional mortise and tenon construction. His quartered oak is known for it's fine flaking and patterning.
