We start with a thin sheet of copper. Period Arts and Crafts designs are hand tooled into the copper sheet. Paint is then laid within the tooled lines. The remaining copper surface is oxidized and then lacquered. The finished art is mounted on a sand colored board, matted and framed in a quartered oak mission style framing that is complimentary to the straight lines of classic Stickley mission or the graceful arches and cutouts of Limbert furniture. We take great pride in the fact that our art is true to the Arts and Crafts ideal being totally handcrafted by the hand of the artist.

We also make our own framing. Quartered white oak is used because of it’s distinctive flaking patterns. A graceful arch spans the bottom of the frame with a narrow shelf at the top and in some cases, corbels along the sides. These features mirror the lines of Stickley or Limbert furniture. The frames are finished in a Stickley Fayetteville brown with a rubbed satin finish. We also offer a more contemporary gold- leafed textured wooden frame for those who prefer more variety. We have found this framing is equally compatible with the Stickley and Limbert decor.

How can you buy our art? On line at this site. We ship via UPS within two to six weeks of ordering, depending on our show schedule. If you would like to see our art in person, we exhibit our art at many of the Arts and Crafts conferences and shows nationwide. Please check our show schedule for specific shows and dates. Our art is also carried in many of the Stickley, Audi stores across New York state, Boston, and Hartford as well as the new Pittsburgh and Denver locations.
